Story
Hi In May 2021, I will be taking on the true fear factor challenge, worthy of a place on (most) peoples bucket list - a skydive!
As LSU Rag are facilitating the challenge, the money will be passed through them and onto my personal chosen charity PWSA UK I have chosen this charity because my younger sister sufferers with the rare genetic disorder of Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS), which will continue throughout her life, we as a family have found the charity to be very helpful in organising fun events for children and adults with PWS alike. With no government funding, they provide a source of support and help to assist not just those with PWS but for families in order to give vital information with managing the disorder,
Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a rare, complex genetic disorder that affects both males and females from birth and throughout their lives. It causes low muscle tone with consequent motor developmental delays, a mild to moderate learning difficulty, incomplete sexual development, and emotional and social immaturity, which can lead to challenging behaviours. During childhood, an overwhelming and insatiable chronic appetite usually develops which, without rigorous food management and exercise regimes, leads to food seeking, stealing and life threatening obesity.
Follow me on my journey of fundraising and please do give generously to this worthy cause. Surely seeing me jump out of a plane is worth every penny!
Thank you for your kindness.
