Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I will be doing a 1,000 ft zip wire over the Pier Head in Liverpool, on 9 July 2011 in support of Claire House, the children's hospice. For those of you who would like to support the good work of this inspiring charity, or who would just like to pay for the privilege of receiving some post-event photos of me being pushed off a crane(!!), I hope that I can count on your support to achieve my goal of raising £400.
As many of you know know, I've been passionate about volunteering with children, especially children such as those in Claire House who are faced, at such a young age, with uncertainty and lack of resources. Claire House and its incredible team of volunteers have improved the lives of so many young people and their families at times of great sadness since the organisation was founded in 1998, and hope to expand their locations and range of services beyond their current base.
I am sure that we have all, at some point in our lives, been touched by the tragedy of illness amongst family or friends, and it is at these times that the comfort and selfless generosity of others is most apparent and most cherished.
