Story
In december 2017, my Auntie suffered a stroke (SAH). I along with the rest of my family were unsure what to look for to identify a stroke and therefore did not identify it. I am now aiming to raise funds for The Stroke Association, as well as raise awareness of how to identify strokes.
My auntie was lucky, she’s now going through rehabilitation from her own home and has been discharged from hospital care however not everyone is this lucky. Strokes can have such a huge impact on the life of the victim and their family, spotting the signs early can save someone’s life.
As a result of this I want to give back to a charity that has helped my auntie and our family greatly, the Stroke Association. I will be walking 31 miles around London, and it will undoubtedly be the bigger challenge i’ve faced ever.
