Story
On September 20th, 2019, our world forever changed when we found our daughter, Isla, unresponsive in the middle of the night. She was immediately rushed to Tupelo hospital and then transferred to Lebonheur in hopes to save her life.
Unfortunately, Isla was brain dead upon arrival but Lebonheur worked for 6 days to try and bring her back to this world.
The FedEx house gave us a place to stay that was in walking distance from the hospital. This is a gated, 5 star place that offers food at all hours, game rooms for children and a comfy place to sleep and shower with NO COST to the family.
They run off donations only and keep families safe. The FedEx house takes the weight of hotel and food cost off the family.
My family will forever be grateful for this place and these people who witnessed the worst days of our lives.
Please, donate to this place so that other families can have the same experience we did.
Families of ill and injured children face incredible burdens missed work and school, loss of income, increased expenses and separation from loved ones. Housing is the last thing parents should have to worry about when their child is sick or injured. Thats why FedExFamilyHouse made a promise when they opened in 2010 this will be a place of hope and healing for out-of-town families of Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital patients. It costs $100 to provide a family a one night stay at FedExFamilyHouse. Many families stay at the house much longer as their child waits on a heart transplant or recovers from a car accident. Please donate today to provide a free, comfortable place to rest for every family who travels a long distance to Le Bonheur.
