Story
We belong to a community choir called the Cotswold Voices, a great group of people who sing for fun. We feel like one big family led by our choirmaster Joe Moore. Jeanie was a colleague of Joe’s and, seeing what he was achieving with his school choir, urged him to setup a choir for adults. That was five years ago, now the choir has over seventy members and won it’s first competition in January this year. Jeanie was a well loved figure around Faringdon, small but dynamic and the last person you would expect to be diagnosed with cancer. At the end of her fight with the disease, Jeanie was cared for at the Prospect Hospice. The wonderful care that she received there gave her all the support she and her family needed before finally finding peace.
The Cotswold Voices are planning to sing for six hours (10 to 4) in the Brunel Centre in Swindon on Saturday 9th May, to raise money for the Hospice.
If you have a few pounds to spare please donate to a brilliant cause and we'd love to see as many people as possible at the event itself on the 9th, so please do come along if you are able.
Thank you,
Meg and Dave
