Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. In 2006 Alice Bullock, a friend of mine since primary school, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. She was inspirational to me, her friends and other cancer sufferers through her fight and never gave up. She documented her story by making films which can be found on www.jimmyteenstv.com . The last film Alice uploaded shows her preparing for a charity ball she helped to organise at Ravenwood Hall in October 2008, where she managed to raise £5,000 for the Chris Lucas Trust, which funds research into the disease. After a 2 and half year battle of chemo going in and out of hospital, Alice passed away in December 2008 at the age of 18. In her short life she touched many people through the films she created and the money and awareness she raised. We want to raise money by doing the highest free fall sky dive in the UK (15,000ft) to help other teenagers and young adults that are in Alice's situation. The money raised can go towards creating special cancer units for teenagers so that they don't have to be on a ward with children or old people. Money could also support research into treatment for cancer and why young people get cancer. Please dig deep and wish us luck, Thanks!* Charities pay a small fee for our service.
