Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday 11th June 2016 McDermott Homes will be taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for charity.

Our selected charity is Pendleside Hospice, which exists to promote and enhance quality of life for people with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers; by delivering specialist and holistic palliative care, which addresses their individually assessed physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. The hospice currently costs over £3.8 million per year to run. A grant from the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group provides approximately 26% of running costs but the balance, over £2.8 million, has to be raised locally. That s a lot of funds to raise each year!

The challenging course covers 24.5 miles with 5600ft in ascent and descent on the Three Peaks of Pen y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and we expect to complete it in about 10hours.

We are very grateful for your support.

Many thanks

McDermott Homes
