Story
My challenges continue in 2023 by participating in a Vietnam to Cambodia Cycle ride. All money donated goes straight to the charity as I am funding this myself
If you would like to see regular updates, these will be posted on my public facebook fundraiser page called @michellebeaverfundraising
Marie Curie has actually changed the person I am. I have been involved with this charity since 2012 when my auntie received end of life care, and my mum in 2016 receiving similar care. In 2013 when I did my 1st overseas trek to China. Since then I have fundraised and trekked in Sri Lanka, USA, Tanzania and Nepal. More local I have trekked in Scotland, Wales and held several coffee mornings and 2 bingo nights. I have completed cycling and running challenges too.
I have been part of their befriending service since 2015 where I have helped people at the end of their lives accomplish their final wishes. These included driving in an open top car looking at the River Mersey eating a chippy! Another wanted to hug a tree! Another didn't want to be scared at the end, and that was made possible which I will treasure forever.
