Pixel Art Portraits for Charity · 31 December 2021

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

For December 2021 I wish to fundraise for Mind and create a collection of pixel art portraits of donator's characters.

Donating in exchange for pixel art portraits has now closed for the time being. Thank you so much everyone!

What is Mind?

Here is some information about Mind: https://youtu.be/OPxHTZRwXX8

"Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.

We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We'll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner." - Mind, https://mind.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/

What is Pixel Art?

Pixel art is a digital art medium, created using software where individual pixels are placed. Restricted by size and colour, this type of art was seen in the old 8-bit and 16-bit computers and game console era, but now commonly seen in indie games.

How much goes to charity?

As the artist I do not handle or receive any donations. JustGiving takes care of payment processing and gives the donations to Mind once the fundraising ends. JustGiving has a 0% platform fee for UK charities. There is a 1.9% + £0.20 payment processing fee if the donation currency is in GBP, or 2.9% + £0.20 payment processing fee if the currency is not GBP. https://www.justgiving.com/about/fees
