Mayor's Fundraising Committee is raising money for Trust Links - Mental Health & Wellbeing

Trust Links is a mental health and wellbeing charity, working across Essex to support people experiencing mental health difficulties. Our projects support over 5000 people a year. We’re committed to building stronger communities and transforming lives.

Story

Cllr Folkard, Cllr Habermel and Cllr Courtenay are raising money in aid of The Mayor’s nominated Charities for the current municipal year; these are Trust Links and Little Heroes ASD Support Group.

On Sunday 27th March the three Councillors will be completing the 'Olympic'/Standard distance for the triathlon, which is: 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run. Total distances 51.5km. In old money this is 0.93miles, 25miles and 6.2 miles respectively. Totalling just over 32.1 miles.  This event will start at 8.30am at Garons Swimming pool, cycling through Wakering and Shoeburyness from 10am and then running from East Beach, Shoeburyness to Chalkwell Shelter from 11.45am. We expect the finishing line will be reached at approx 12.30pm, and we welcome supporters all the way.

  3. Cllr James Courtenay will take on the final 10km run of the triathlon.
