Story
Hello everyone!
Thanks for visiting my justigiving page, where I am fundraising money for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. This summer (starting mid-May), I will embark on a pretty big adventure - I am going to walk the perimeter of my beautiful home country of Wales!
It's something I've been thinking of doing for a few years, but I've decided that this year is THE year - I've decided I'm just going to do it (Wish me luck)!
There are a few reasons I have chosen to raise money for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust: Bees are so, so important, and with the use of pesticides and loss of natural habitat, humans are really decimating their numbers and causing bees a lot of harm. Bottom line, humans suck and we NEED these little critters to fertilise plants - without bees in this world, humans would not survive for very long and the richness and diversity our world currently has will be lost. Another reason is I just love bumblebees - they are fluffy and cute and I love them. This charity do such amazing work in Wales and throughout the rest of the UK, such as working with organic dairy farmers to help them make their land more bee friendly, and creating green spaces in communities for bees to thrive.
I am very passionate about the environment, and I think giving money to this charity to help out our friends, the bumblebees, is a fantastic way to help safeguard the planet's future.
I've put my target as £1000 for over the May to September period, but if we can raise more then that would be epic!
