Story
I had always liked the idea of running but never felt I could do it. In September last year I entered the Howletts Zoo 10K. It was tough but I wanted to do better. After entering and training for another couple of events it was clear that I was becoming addicted to it. I was mentally and physically healthier than i had ever been before and more importantly, I was loving it.
Fast forward 8 months later i am a part of the fantastic running community of the Thanet Roadrunners and have a further 10 races under my belt that include Half Marathons, Time Trials and a Team Triathlon. I have now been given a fantastic opportunity to do something I never thought I’d be able to do and run the London Marathon for St John Ambulance.
Between now and then I will be raising money for this fanatic charity that every year trains more than 400,000 people on how to save a life.
To help raise money I will be putting on different events and I will also be running numerous races leading up to London including the Kent Coastal Half Marathon, The Big Half and the Brighton Marathon.
I will also continue fundraising throughout the year and will also be running the Vitality 10K and Royal Parks Half Marathon for this fantastic charity.
I will be extremely grateful for any support, encouragement and of course donations to help me over the line and to make a difference.
