Story
Five year old Max is cycling 100 laps of his local park (Alice Park) in memory of his Great Grandfather Ted, who died, age 99, in February 2021. He is aiming to complete this in one week (February Half Term).
Each lap is 500 metres so it will be 50km in total. He was inspired by his PE teacher who challenged Reception class to complete 100 laps of ‘something’ during in half term.
Max chose the Forever Friends Appeal - the Royal United Hospital looked after Ted very well very over many years, and has also cared for other loved ones.
It’s a family effort: Max’s Dad Ed is running every lap with him and is also planning an 100km one-day cycle as part of this. Mum Kitty is walking and running 100km over the month of March, and 8 year old Chloe has decided to attempt 100 pull ups (not all at once!) before the end of the month.
Any sponsorship gratefully received - Max has been absolutely determined, cycling in all weathers, and is very proud of raising money in memory of his beloved great grandfather.
