Our team of 4 has, like nearly everyone you'll ever meet, been affected by cancer at some point during our lives. This year has been particularly poignant, and we've all of us been inspired by the support Macmillan has endeavored to provide to our friends and their families as they've braved the lonely, frightening journey that you're forced to face when confronted with the 'C' word.  

Not only does this hike coincide with a year of heartbreaking loss for all of us, it also takes place 10 years to the day of the passing of a very special friend; it seems an ideal point in time to remember loved ones, raise some cash, and to try to just give a little back to those who have already given (and sometimes lost) so much.
