Event: DeutscheBike Surrey Hills Cycle, on 20 May 2017
This is a fantastic, 100km cycle challenge through the beautiful Surrey countryside for Hope and Homes for Children, and Autistica; Deutsche Bank's two Charities of the Year.

Story

I was surprised by the scale of the problem the autism currently presents worldwide. In the UK alone, if you include families of children
and grown ups with autism, it is a part of daily life for 2.8 million
people(!).

Fortunately, autism did not affect my family, however, I recently discovered that it did affect the family of one of my colleagues at Deutsche Bank.

The condition is very sparsely researched which means families of those affected can not receive required medical support to treat specific symptoms. Autism normally have underlying health issue, which could be linked to genetics and triggered by environment.

Awareness needs to be spread as much as possible, and Autistica is one of the foundations which actively funds research on this topic.

Thank you all for the contributions to support this great cause to help families daily fighting autism!
