Story

The Steward Clan with our friends and family have been fundraising to combat an illness that Dad has been diagnosed with - MND.

To kick start, Mum and James rode their way from London to Brighton in September, Jess ran a London Half Marathon in October, Scarlett and Molly took a brisk 14 hour walk for the Jurassic Coast Challenge in May, Nelly flew through a marathon in May, Carol did 3000 Squats in November and the team at Max Associates (Dad promises it isn't named after his favourite child... I'm not so sure) completed the Cotsworld Way Challenge in June.

Due to all these wonderful people being so wonderful I succumbed to the intense peer pressure to get off my arse and actually do something - I figured bringing some friends along for the ride to watch them suffer as well was the fuel I needed, so they graciously agreed to come along.

We'll be climbing the 3 peaks - Snowdon, Wales (1085m); Scafell Pike, England (978m); Ben Nevis, Scotland (1345m) - and will be driving and camping as we go, aiming to complete all 3 within 3 days.

Heres some horrible facts about MND (also known as ALS) to guilt trip you into donating <3

  • MND attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work
  • 1/3 of people with MND die within a year
  • 1/2 die within two years of diagnosis
  • It's making me climb 3 mountains

There is currently no treatment for MND - therefore raising awareness and fundraising has never been more important.

Any donations are hugely appreciated - I'll try my best not to leave someone at the top of Snowdon, but I'm making no promises.
