Story

I had never heard of Home-Start until last year when my amazing girlfriend said she wanted to volunteer her time to help support and offer advice to families. This charity aims to provide families with a volunteer and Home-Start co-ordinator who can help guide them through difficult times. Emotional and practical support is offered to many families within lincolnshire and is a much needed service to help families rebuild their lives and give children a better future. Home-start volunteers begin their journey by taking on a 10 week course, volunteers are then placed with a family who they visit on a weekly basis, their role is to listen, signpost to local services and raise confidence. My girlfriend is really passionate about this charity and the positive work Home-Start does and I now feel its about time I offered my services! So for one day only I am going to be a criminal! Ive agreed to be publicly arrested and locked up in 'jail' the charge being 'I don't do enough for the local community' and need to raise £500 bail money so I can be let out! Please support me and the other Jail birds to raise much needed funds for this amazing charity.
