We fund medical research to help find a cure for Lupus

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Vicky and Max's JustGiving page for Lupus UK, the only charity devoted specifically to patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosis or Lupus.

As many of you know Max works at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and helps to look after Lupus patients in the West of Scotland.  Hardly a day goes by without Max and his colleagues seeing patients with one of the many symptoms from which patients with Lupus can suffer.  Lupus UK provides advice for patients and their carers, helps educate patients students and staff and supports research projects all to help advance undertsanding about this rare and fatal disease.

To these ends Lupus UK have funded the first nurse devoted to Lupus patients in the West of Scotland and have extended this quality service to adults and children with Lupus across Scotland.  Taking part in the Run to the Beat half marathon will give Max and Vicky an opportunity to do more for SLE patients than just medical support. We hope you can give generously to support this worthy cause.

JustGiving will send your donation directly to Lupus UK and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by UK taxpayers.  JustGiving will never sell your details or send you unwanted emails. Donating through JustGiving means we will efficiently raise more funds, whilst saving Lupus UK time and cutting charity costs.
