Story

This is the first time in my 51 years that I have taken part in a sponsored....anything. Yes I have donated to others but for the first time the personal tragedy of losing someone close to a horrible illness has encouraged me to do something, to hopefully help raise funds in any way possible.

My partner Wendy, lost her father, Charlie Coxon of South Shields, to Alzheimers on the 13th July.

Witnessing the effect of this horrible illness over the last 7 years, should make us all determined to see the end of the distress and tragedy that Alzheimers causes, not just to the individual but to the whole family.

It may seem an insurmountable task that someday we will see the end to this condition, but at least through the good work of the Alzheimers Society, day to day help is given to those suffering now.

So I would just ask if this has touched your family or if you can give anything to this cause, then I greatly appreciate it - anything at all, even  the cost of a Starbucks latte helps.

thanks

Maurice
