Many of you will know that this year marks 10 years, since Alan died in Katherine House Hospice. The Hospice is largely funded by public donations and offers exemplary care for respite and end of life care, for terminally ill patients. For Alan, that care was not only given to him, but also extended to me, via palliative care in our home. In the 4 months between his diagnosis in April 2013 and his death, from Kidney Cancer, in August 2013, their care enabled us to go for one last holiday together. Nothing can ever repay the care and kindness we received, especially in Alan's last days, but I hope to add to some much needed funds for Katherine House
