We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

On the 1st of November, we (Anne Lundon and Maureen Macleod) are going to do the New York Marathon for Diabetes UK.   We both have friends and family affected by type 1 diabetes and for most with this incurable condition, multiple daily insulin injections and close monitoring of blood glucose levels are a fact of life.  All the money that we raise will go towards an Edinburgh-based project researching islet transplants and liver regeneration which will hopefully be of great benefit to people with type 1 diabetes in the future.  For more information on this project, check out Diabetes UK’s website - https://www.diabetes.org.uk/Research/Our-research-projects/Scotland/Islet-transplants-and-liver-regeneration/

We would greatly appreciate any donations.

Many thanks,

Anne and Maureen
