Story
Throughout my time at WMC at Wiltshire Music Centre I have always aimed high, but I never thought that I would be reaching quite these heights!
I have never had a head for heights and recently started experiencing vertigo, so what better challenge than to jump off a cliff with a kite strapped on my back? By mid October, when the weather allows, I will jump off the Westbury White Horse on a tandem paraglider flight and face my deepest fear...
I come from a place near the Alps, where it is common to see paragliders brightening the sky and I have always enjoyed watching them with my feet planted firmly on the ground. Even when my partner started paragliding, I could see how amazing it looked but I could still not overcome my phobia to join him. But I will overcome it for WMC. Sorry Matt!
Places like the Wiltshire Music Centre are extremely rare. Together with the team I feel privileged to be one of its custodians, enabling everyone in the community to discover, learn and develop with music in their lives. Although this wonderful place has been a miracle since it opened its doors 23 years ago, it has never been more at risk than now.
So please support me and the Centre by contributing to this challenge. You will be entitled to a video proof of the event [with sound, possibly including screams].
The tandem flight is kindly supported by Cloudbase Paragliding
