The Big Walk 2022 is back and better than ever! Returning on Friday 24th June, walkers will be fundraising to give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.

Story

Thank you

for visiting my JustGiving page. On Friday 24th June, I will be taking part in the Big Walk 2022 in support of Genetic Disease

I’m aiming to complete the 30km route, climbing a total of 793m. That’s like climbing the Arts Tower more than 10 times! It'll take me through the some of the highlights of the Peak District.

Beginning at Edale, taking on the summit of Win Hill, braving the muddy paths near Ladybower, and battling the sea of heather at Bamford Edge, before returning to the University for a celebratory finish! I love hiking and am no stranger to it, but doing this long route on the longest day of the year will undoubtedly be a big challenge.

Research at the University of Sheffield. Any donations are appreciated to help reach my fundraising goal!In the UK alone, 1 in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder. Sheffield's research will change the lives of families who are desperately seeking a treatment for their loved-one. By making a donation today you will give hope to families living with the ongoing challenges of a genetic disease.
