Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
As many of you are aware, I suffered the devastating loss of my dad when he died suddenly and unexpectedly when I was 10 months old. My dad loved his running, so I’m following in his footsteps and running the Brighton marathon on the 12th September, to raise money Winston’s Wish. I’ve spent the summer training to make sure I beat his time and now just need to raise funds to support this great cause.
Winston’s Wish are a charity who specialise in providing support for children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.
Winston’s Wish relies on voluntary charity donations to support children and their families during the most difficult time of their lives.
- £8.53 could enable us to provide one child with a memory box that can be used to store treasured objects, helping them to remember their loved one in a way that is personal to them.
- £16 could fund one call to our Freephone Helpline, which is the gateway to our services, offering parents, professionals and children therapeutic advice.
- £38.48 could cover the cost of operating our website for two days, including Help2MakeSense, a support forum for bereaved young people.
An outstanding specialist charity such as Winston's Wish would've been invaluable in supporting my family to come to terms with our grief, which is why I'm fundraising for them, so all families who go through grief can have access to specialised support.
If you can donate any money I would be really grateful.
Matt
