Story

A few hardy souls will be heading out on May 15th to cycle from Putney London to Paris in aid of the charity Hope for Grace Kodindo www.hopeforgracekodindo.org. Hope for Grace Kodindo (HFGK) is a charity working in the area of maternal health in Chad, Somaliland, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The issue of maternal mortality and infant mortality in the developing world is no. 5 on the list of the United Nations Millenium Development Goals. HFGK has already had a significant impact in the countries that they work, particularly Chad where we have reduced maternal mortality in the National Hospital in the capital Ndjamena from 14% to 2.3% which far excedes the UN's target. Every penny raised will go directly to purchasing the drugs that we supply to the hospitals that we support. All administrative costs of the charity are covered by specific funding targeted at this area of charitable support. Thank you very much for your kind donation and a big thank you from the mothers and babies in Africa whose lives your money will save.
