Story
As most of you know, when my daughter Myla was 6 weeks old she was diagnosed as profoundly deaf, and with no information on childhood deafness this was a very scary time for us as a family.
One of our local charities who support children and adults with hearing loss and impairment is Gloucestershire Deaf Association. Not only do they regularly put on events for adults, they also hold forest school for children and Cirencester Deaf Children's Club where they put on arts and crafts and many other fun activities.
It is so important for children to connect with other deaf children, to know that they are not alone and it is also so important for families of deaf children to connect to be able to share their experiences and support each other.
I am running Tewkesbury Half Marathon again this year to raise money for this fantastic cause.
