We help families find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them

Story

Since losing our beautiful daughter Emily Rose (22) to a wild form of cancer in 2007, as a family with the wonderful support from family and friends we have managed to raise over £100,000 for CLIC Sargent. With an initial target of raising £5000, CLIC Sargent gave us great strength and support at a time when we needed it most and we, as a family, wished to give a little back.

So for we have cycled the length of Britain and Europe; Chatham to Gibraltar and in 2012 the breadth of the USA. In 2014, with 'The Last Hour Club,' we peddled out of  England, through France and Belgium to Hameln in Germany, where Emily grew up. In 2016 we took part in the annual 'Chase The Sun' ride from Minster, on the Isle of Sheppey on the East coast to Burnham on Sea on the West -  205 miles in one day! There have been lots of fundraisers, from the inaugural EMBO Prom, to marathons, abseils, Races for Life, quizzes, cake bakes and much, much more.

This June, 2017, on the 10th Anniversary of Emily leaving us, I will be on my adventures again.

Departing on what would have been her 32nd birthday I will be completing a Capital Challenge from 2nd June -12th June, taking in 5 Countries, 5 Capitals, Completing 1500 miles.

2nd June Chatham to Peterborough

3rd June Peterborough to York

4th June York to Otterburn

5th June Otterburn to Edinburgh

6th June Edinburgh to Cairnryan

7th June Belfast to Dublin

8th June Holyhead to Aberystwyth

9th June Aberystwyth to Cardiff

10th June Cardiff to Westbury

11th June Westbury to London

12th June London to Chatham Maritime

                             10 Years Supporting CLIC SARGENT
