<p>Hi everyone!</p> <p>Shortly after writing my latest fitness book (http://tinyurl.com/3jvfhzs), I was chewing the fat with my BBC colleagues (http://tinyurl.com/3bhhzbm) and jamming with the band (http://tinyurl.com/2gnoey) when I suddenly decided that, rather than telling the prime minister how to get fit, I should show him. So I put my name down for the Robin Hood half marathon on 11th September.</p> <p>Given my vast list of illustrious sporting achievements (Notts U9s chess team; Clare College 3rds; Bath Venturers CC; Little Red Machine) I thought I'd level the playing field slightly by restricting myself to 18 days' training before the race. Watch out Hailie, I'm coming for you.</p> <p>I'm raising money for WaterAid, mainly because the government has thus far steadfastly refused to recognise BrandyAid as a valid charity. I haven't set a target because I'm not sure how much money it will take to provide clean and reliable water supplies for everyone in the world, but it's probably quite a lot.</p> <p>Here's the science bit:</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
