Right-o all, I would very much like you to sponser me for my hitchhike to Zadar, Croatia in the Easter holidays.

Me and my two lovely female companions [Claire and Clare] are risking life and limb by plunging into the jaws of death and the front seats of many cars across the continent in a bid to get ourselves from Sunny Sheffield to Zany Zadar. The plan is to go through Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, and then finally ending up on the sunny coast of Croatia, ALL WITHIN ONE WEEK AND SPENDING NO MORE THAN FIFTEEN ENGLISH POUNDS.

All money will be going to charity of course, so dig deep and give as much/as little as you can/want. If that doesn't tempt you then at least think of it as ensuring that I become that little bit more interesting to talk to with, I'm sure, many hilarious anecdotes of hi-jinx I'll pick up along the way.
