In memory of Lauren Currie
We fund awareness, research and support to improve outcomes for Vasculitis patients

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My friend Lauren was only 15 when she sadly passed away due to Wegener's Granulomatosis, a form of Vasculitis in October 2010. Vasculitis is an auto - immune disease which causes the inflammation of blood vessels and can affect different parts of the body. It is relatively unknown and can be difficult to diagnose due to its varying symptoms.

Lauren's parents, Grant and Adrienne set up the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation in her name. The charity is dedicated to providing support for people affected by Vasculitis. To date, over £500,000 has been raised by the charity to fund patient support, awareness campaigning and medical research.

Over the past 8 years, I've done different things to raise money such as annual 5K fun runs and bake sales. This year I thought I'd step it up a bit and what better way to do it than cycle 52 miles around the West Coast of Scotland - in one day - while in a morph suit.
