Story
On 29th Jan my Dad suffered a cardiac arrest at a football game. Thankfully he was sat with my brother (medically trained) who performed CPR, before paramedics arrived & used a defib. He was extremely lucky, where others aren't. The reality is that if it had been me sat with him (or thousands of others like me), I wouldn't have had a clue what to do. In these circumstances time is everything and thus proper training is crucial.
The British Heart Foundation provide free CPR training as well as funding for community defibrilators. On top of this, through groundbreaking research they've helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK.
Three of us are run ing the manc marathon on 3rd April (jonny Bracewell, Andy wheelton). All donations gratefully received.
