This will be my forth time running the London Marathon and although it will be the hardest, I'm almost 40! it will be the most special because of the cause I am running for.

New Horizons is an amazing charity that is very close to my heart having supported them for the last 4 years in the role of charity mentor, a scheme ran through my employer, Lloyds Banking Group and the Lloyds Bank Foundation. I have seen first hand the difference the charity can make to its service users and the passion of those who run it.

New Horizons are a mental health & emotional wellbeing resource centre based in RCT, Merthyr and Bridgend - Cwm Taf Morgannwg. They  provide service users with all the help and advice they need on their journey to recovery and run a wide range of  Free Recovery Courses covering topics such as resilience, assertiveness, anger management and confidence building just to name a few. Community groups such as their Choir, Art and Craft Group and Creative Writing Group are again a great way of supporting their service users.

Like all charities they have been impacted by COVID with services having to move online but the speed in which they reacted and the way they supported services users through an exceptionally challenging 18 months has been phenomenal.

THEY TRUELY ARE AMAZING. 

I feel privileged to have been able to support them over the last 4 years and to have the opportunity this year to help them in a financially tangible way. I know that ever pound I raise will be put to good use, so would be very grateful for any support you can give. Thank you in advance.
