Story
We're running the Gritstone Grind Ultra Marathon on Sunday 9th September 2018.
The course is 35 miles (if you get the route correct) and 6,000 feet of elevation (that's running towards the sky for 1.8 km). The route is Kidsgrove to Disley along the Gritstone Trail (traditionally walked over 3 days).
It's pretty tough. This will be hard even for multi Iron Man finisher Mike or Rachel who has more 'Queen of the Mountains' on Strava than you can shake a stick at.
Spare a thought for Matthew who is far less fit or schooled in the art of endurance events than either Mike or Rachel. This will be a day of suffering for all involved but most especially for Matthew, even his diehard enthusiasm will be put to the test.
