Story
In September 2020 our world was turned upside down when our youngest son, George, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) a week before his 4th birthday.
George’s treatment runs until November 2023 so there is a long way to go but he has shown amazing strength & resilience throughout his treatment to date and is a real inspiration.
We have received so much love & support from many different areas during this time but now we want to be able to give something back and contribute in a small way to helping children & their families in the future.
In 2022, I am taking on the TCS London Marathon to help raise vital funds for Cure Leukaemia.
Whether you knew me at school, during university or through work you’ll know that I am no athlete. I’m definitely more a watcher of sport, preferably with a pint so this is going to be a big challenge for me to train & prepare for the London Marathon. However, it will only be a fraction of the pain & suffering that George & others have to go through on a daily basis.
The money raised will offer patients across the UK hope in their battle against blood cancer.Your generosity means Cure Leukaemia can help the prospects of blood cancer patients by funding more nurses and running more clinical trials through the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network of 12 centres across the UK.
Any donation you can make is massively appreciated Thank you!
