Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest free standing mountain in the world, and Africa's highest point at 5895m above sea level. This July I will be attempting to climb to the summit in memory of Dad and to fund-raise for Macmillan Cancer support in the hope they will continue their incredible work. Africa was always a place of interest and intrigue to Dad, and as a family we have many happy memories there together. The opportunity to reach the continent's peak is therefore both a personal challenge but more importantly a fitting tribute, and with a name meaning 'A mystery wreathed in clouds' perhaps a familiar face will greet me at the summit.
Whether you knew Dad or not, any size donation towards Macmillan or even just a message of support to keep my legs going would be greatly appreciated. Equally as important as raising money is raising awareness, so please do take the time to read about the fantastic work Macmillan do in their summary on this page, or visit their website to find fundraising events near you that you may wish to get involved in.
Thank you,
Matthew
