We fund medical research to give HOPE to future DIPG families

Story

I've decided to sign up for the Worcester 10k run in September in aid of Abbie's Army. As you may or may not be aware, my beautiful fiancée Fran has a brain cancer called DIPG or Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma to be more precise.

DIPG or 'Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma' is the most fatal of all these brain cancer types. DIPG grows in the PONS area of the brainstem making surgery impossible. Currently there are no approved or validated 'data driven' effective treatments or a CURE available. The average survival time from diagnosis for a child remains at just 9 months.

My hope, is to raise £500 to help go towards vital research..... With the hope a cure becomes available one day so it can start saving precious lives.

https://www.abbiesarmy.co.uk/ is the website for more information on DIPG. All information above on DIPG has been taken from Abbie's army website.

Each year 450 UK children are diagnosed with brain cancer. Among these there is a tumour so aggressive that there is NO effective treatment or a CURE - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or DIPG. Responsible for 80% of all brain tumour death we raise vital research funds to give hope to DIPG families.
