Story
I am lucky enough to remember my great granny Howell. In her later years however, my family and I watched painfully as she battled Alzheimer's. The last time I saw her, she couldn't remember who I was, and the memories of that last visit have made a lasting memory.
Alzheimer's is a cruel disease which not only takes lives, it takes memories. In an attempt to aid further research into curing it and to enable those who suffer from it to lead better, healthier and more independent lives, I am walking from London to Brighton on May 25th-26th with three of my colleagues from Brooke Weston Academy in Corby. It is the first time any of us have endeavoured to walk such a distance, but we do so with memories of our loved ones in mind.
If you know too the devastation that Alzheimer's causes families up and down the country every single day and would like to help raise funds to help beat this currently incurable disease, I would be warmly grateful if you could donate on this page.
Anything that you can give will help to change lives and keep families together for longer.
Thanks for your support!
Matt.
