Story

Firstly the boring bit, after 12 months or so of running short distances around Maidenhead I have decided to up the distance and attempt a 25km run on the Thames Path from Runnymede to Cookham.

Now for the important bit Mary-Jane (my understanding wife) has chosen for me to run for the Brain Research Trust, this is a relatively unknown charity that does a lot of work into researching Brain diseases including vCJD, Brain Tumors and Strokes amongst others.

Unfortunately Mary-Jane has witnessed the truly horrendous effects of vCJD which killed her grandmother 24 years ago and in that time very little more is understood about this disease and its treatment, so the money we raise will go a long way to change this. Hopefully many, if not most of you, will not have had a direct experience of this disease, but unfortunately many of you, myself included will know someone who has had or at least has been effected by the other tragic diseases above.

I'm not asking for huge donations, just whatever you can, as it will serve as great motivation for myself on early morning training runs and the race itself will be the "fear" of not honoring all your kind and generous donations.

Thank you.
