Hey everyone, thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

Im running in the 2010 Great South Run on October 24th for the second time after surviving my 2008 attempt. Im going for a much more respectable time this year though and am doing it for a very worthwhile cause, the Alzheimer's Society.

There are currently 700,000 people with dementia in the UK.

There are currently 15,000 younger people with dementia in the UK.

There will be over a million people with dementia by 2025.

Two thirds of people with dementia are women.

60,000 deaths a year are directly attributable to dementia.

Delaying the onset of dementia by 5 years would reduce deaths directly attributable to dementia by 30,000 a year.

So please dig deep and donate now. Any contribution however big or small will be greatly appreciated.
