Story
Move aside Everest I have a 15k tough mudder course to do first!
With 30 obstacles over 15k this is going to be one of the hardest things I have done and it all takes place on 29th July! Wish me luck and dig deep for the Children's Hospital Charity. Unfortunately it is not suitable for my Dino costume but that can wait for Everest!
Following this I will then be starting my climb of mount Everest!
How hard can it be to climb Everest, well virtually about 58,070 steps hard!
That is the equivalent of 3,871 flights of stairs! I am aiming to do this over a fortnight with an exact date TBC but all in aid of the Children's Hospital Charity as as part of our Skinflint rally - as such I am also doing this dressed as a dinosaur which is the theme for our car.
The Children's Hospital Charity changes children's lives everyday. The money raised supports specialist treatment from head to toe by funding life-saving equipment, new facilities, a comfortable environment and vital research which changes paediatric care for thousands of children from across the world. That's why Penistone Round Table are going to be doing loads of fun and silly fundraising around Penistone this summer to try and raise £5,000 for this amazing charity. And we need your support! We'll be doing fancy dress charity runs, zany auctions and other general silliness - which will all culminate in our showpiece fundraiser in September 2023... the Skinflint Rally! We'll be buying and decorating an old banger, which we'll show-off around Penistone before attempting an epic trip to Austria, taking on the world famous Grossglockner High Apine Pass! We'd love you to help us by making a donation to support this amazing charity.
