Story
In 2012 Dad needed a heart transplant. The staff at QEH fitted him with an LVAD to ensure he could stay alive whilst they found a donor. The skills, research and treatment they supply is amazing. They gave us all hope. So much that he confidently predicted the problems with his heart would no longer kill him. Annoyingly, as usual, he was right. In September 2014 a brain bleed finished him off at the age of 60. To help them in my own small way continue the great work they are doing saving lives, and hopefully ensure his death was not in vain, I am running a marathon whilst sampling some Belgian beer. Main problem is, I hate running. You can see from the course map this is a genuine marathon. You can also see the beer stops. There are a few. Brits abroad and all that. Please help give this ridiculous attempt more meaning than me doing the longest and fastest pub crawl I can. Thanks. Matt.x
