Story

Following Matthew Wilson's diagnosis of multiple myeloma in 2021 he has been working closely with Blood Cancer UK to create the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund and together they have a shared ambition to find a cure for multiple myeloma.

Multiple myeloma affects around 5,000 people in the UK every year. For most people, myeloma responds well to initial treatment but unfortunately it almost always comes back.

Through investing in science and scientists this fund will improve treatments, survival rates and quality of life for people living with multiple myeloma and drive forward the day when we find a cure.

On 30 September 2023, over 100 people will be trekking through the South Downs towards Eastbourne, all in support of the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund, sponsored by Brit Insurance. Together, we can drive forward the day we find a cure.
