Story
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page. On Friday 13th March, I'll be walking across hot coals to raise funds for St Catherine's Hospice in memory of my mother, Ursula Woods, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in February 2019, having spent the final four weeks of her life being cared for by the wonderful staff at St Catherine's.
The support and care offered by St Catherine's was immeasurable and allowed us the best opportunity to spend quality time with our mother before the end. We are so grateful to all of the staff, so I am raising funds to ensure they can help even more people at the most challenging time.
The StCH Firewalk involves crossing a 15ft strip of hot embers burning at up to 650 degrees Celsius! St Catherines Hospice in Crawley is a local charity with big ambition. St Catherines vision is for a world where everyone facing death and bereavement can do so informed, supported and pain free. Their team of experts are there for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when they need support the most, and they rely on donations to be able to offer their pioneering care. Please support my Firewalk challenge today and help St Catherines be there for people when life comes full circle.
