Story
Since taking up the challenge of running the London marathon in autumn last year I very sadly heard the news that Jenny Wheaton who lived in Little Brickhill (Nr Milton Keynes), a place very close to my heart as I was born and bred there, passed away after a long and brave battle against cancer.
I never knew or realised the true commitment needed to train for a marathon, but with this renewed motivation and understanding of how important Willen is to people and their families I hope you will help me with raising as much as I can for this important place.
Thanks in advance
Matt
Below is an extract written by Jenny's husband Tim:
Jenny passed away peacefully on 27 December 2012 at Willen Hospice following a long and brave battle against cancer. Her spirit and determination to fight her illness was an inspiration to those around her.
Jenny was an amazing mum to her beautiful daughters Becky and Shelby who are very much like her; kind, giving and fun. Her husband Tim, who she loved immensely, and who loved and cared for her, was at her side at all times. As a daughter Jenny was a delight to Don and Noreen who gave her a good foundation for life and fostered a loving relationship between Jenny and her sisters, Linda and Hazel. Throughout her lifetime; at school, at home and during her 29 years in BT, Jenny made numerous lifelong friends, whom she cherished and held in high regard.
