Story

As Fergal Sharkey once said, ‘A good heart, these days, is hard to find’. Well hopefully the new presumed consent donor rules will alleviate that particular conundrum but what would be even better would be to not have to scrabble about for an organ in the first place.  And that’s where the magnificent British Heart Foundation comes into play.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. We all know plenty of people affected by heart disease and we are all well aware it could be us next so this is a cause that will benefit you and everyone you know. What are you waiting for?

It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please dig deep and assist in making this vital work happen.

See you on the coast!
