Just Giving Charity Page
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which is in support of the Stroke Association and my endeavor to complete the Norwich Triathlon on 7 July 2013.
This is an Olympic distance event consisting of;
1.5km Swim
38km Cycle Ride
11km Run
In June 2007, with no prior warning, my dad (then aged 57) suffered a stroke from which he would never recover. He passed away a week later.
Dad was a keen swimmer in his youth and so it seems appropriate to pay tribute to him by undertaking a challenge, which I think, he would have relished. Well, I say that but whilst he might have enjoyed the swim, I'm not so sure he would have been daft enough to then jump on the bike and finish off with the run ;o)
The Stroke Association provides valuable advice and support not only for stroke sufferers but also for those that care for stroke sufferers
