Hello everyone! Let's cut to the chase (aha):

 I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October. 

• Am I asking you to come and cheer on the day? Nah. 
• Am I asking you to come and do long runs with me in the cold? Nope.

What I would love though is if you could spare a fiver and send it my way. As you can see it is for a good cause (more below). If you're not interested I completely understand, jog on!

WHY I RUN

I have been a freelance journalist myself and I know how great it is to have people and institutions that help. During my career I have met countless Rory Peck Trust grantees and people impacted by their work on the daily, so I think it's my turn to help. Any support is greatly welcomed!

WHAT THE RORY PECK TRUST DOES:

Telling the stories the world needs to hear can come at great risk to freelance journalists, many of whom have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their work.  The Rory Peck Trust exists to protect freelance journalists globally. It provides safety training, professional psychological support and critical financial assistance through their Safety Training, Therapy and Crisis Funds. The Rory Peck Trust is committed to supporting and protecting freelance journalists who provide a vital contribution to international newsgathering and uphold our democratic freedoms.
