Story
Hi all,
I've decided to run the 2017 London Marathon to raise funding and awareness for the NSPCC. A story I heard in October really inspired me to go and do what I can to help.
Its a fantastic cause and a little money can really go a long way in changing a child's life so please show some support and get donating.
The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. They help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.
Too many children are still being abused - emotionally, physically, sexually and online. But it doesn't have to be like this. We're determined to keep building a powerful movement to protect every child from abuse and neglect.
The NSPCC plans to make 5 million children safer by 2021.
To make this happen, they're investing in innovative services and solutions. Also they will be working with organisations and policy makers across the country.
How your support helps the NSPCC
Big or small, your gifts and donations make a difference to the children and young people we help through our services.
- £3 could pay for our Speak out Stay safe programme to reach 1 primary school child, giving them the knowledge to protect themselves from abuse
- £4 could pay for 1 of our trained volunteer counsellors to answer a child's call for help to Childline
- £5 could cover the cost of answering a call to the NSPCC helpline
- £25 could pay for a trained practitioner to deliver 1 hour of Pregnancy in Mind to help new parents with the ups and downs of having a baby
- £550 could cover the cost for our Speak out Stay safe programme to visit 1 primary school and speak to every child aged 5-11
- £1,600 could pay to recruit, train and support a new Childline volunteer.
Thank you for your support.
