Run The Country Ultra: Run 17 · 26 September 2021

We are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we're leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Story

I’m running for Paul, my brother, who tragically took his own life in February 2020. I’m running so others have somewhere to turn to when they feel they have nowhere else to go, no other hope.

Every 61 seconds someone calls CALM for help.

£8 funds one potentially life-saving call to CALM.

I’ll be joining and supporting a friend, Matt Bagwell who’s running a helluva lot further than me — a series of 21 Ultra Marathons over 26 days. He will have ran 17 of them by the time we run together — over 750km 😳 so maybe the pace will be in my favour?!

Inspired by his journey, I’m aiming to do my first half-marathon, 21.13 km or 13.13 miles in old money. Double my furthest distance — should be fine, right.

The full run is 43km. Get me to £2500 and I'll run or crawl the whole  thing.
