Story
When I was 6 years old, I started the 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' club at my school. Its tagline was "Let's go girls... and boy”. And that boy was me, growing up and living with some amazing women (sorry and you too Dad!).
One of the special women in my life is my mum. She was a teacher at ActionAid, a charity that works with women and girls living in poverty. I learned from my mum that many women around the world don’t have basic needs met such as clean water, education, and safety. She told me there is lots of evidence that educating women and girls lifts the whole community out of poverty. This is a problem that men need to be involved in fixing as well, so we may live in a better world together. I was one of the many lucky school kids who learnt from teachers like my mum from ActionAid. I am extremely grateful for what they have done and YOU can learn about it on their website! https://www.actionaid.org.uk/
I am running my first-ever Marathon to raise money for the great work of ActionAid and to enjoy a great day out with many brilliant strangers running for important reasons. I hope you can support me and, if you can, come out to London and support everyone running.
Thank You!
